With the Province of Manitoba officially announcing a State of Emergency, effective immediately (valid for a period of 30 days, with an evaluation near the end of that period to see if there is a need to continue), the Winnipeg Rowing Club, along with all gyms, fitness centres, and athletic clubs, have been ordered to fully shut down operations until further notice. Access to the rowing club will temporarily remain available for the next 24 hours (until Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at around noon) to give members an opportunity to retrieve their personal belongings from their lockers, at which time access will be limited to essential personnel only. Members needing to retrieve items afterwards, can contact the club manager to arrange an alternate time to gain access.
