Sunday, July 3rd, 2016 was a day jam-packed with racing. The water was calm and was sunny for most of the day. Many of our juniors got their first taste of racing, even entering as many events as the more seasoned rowers. Great practice for NWIRA, as we’re preparing to hoist that cup again.

As we were racing for the Lipton cup of soup, the WRC has once again made a great contribution to the Food Bank! Many thanks to our WRC coaches, Ed Kornachuk and Ralph Penner for all their help and patience with the athletes, and to provincial head coach Antony Patterson. All of them worked diligently to ensure a fun and successful event for the WRC.
