The Winnipeg Rowing Club is very happy to congratulate our own Sandi Kirby who was awarded Sport Manitoba’s OPIN Official of the Year at an awards ceremony held Saturday, April 23rd, 2016.
Each year, Sport Manitoba’s annual Night of Champions presented by Manitoba Chicken Producers celebrates sports excellence in Manitoba. There was plenty to celebrate as athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and Hall of Fame inductees were recognized for their remarkable achievements in amateur sport in our province. In addition to coaching the WRC Master’s program and her significant involvement as an Official locally, nationally and internationally, Sandi is an accomplished teacher, researcher, scholar and administrator and a former Olympic athlete with the Canadian Rowing team.
