What Is It?
A silent auction to raise funds for WRC boat repair and maintenance. Bidders write down their bid on an auction sheet for the chance to sponsor their favourite seat from their favourite club boat(s). The highest bid wins sponsorship for their favourite seat. Bidding will close at the WRC Awards Banquet.
What Do I Get?
The winning bidder will have their name (or nickname/phrase of their choosing) labelled by the seat on the inside of the boat for one year (all proposed names/phrases will be reviewed by the WRC and any found to be inappropriate will be changed). Please note that this label does not give the winning bidder exclusive rowing rights for the seat!
How Much Are Bids?
Minimum bids are $30. Additional higher bids can be placed in any increments. Winning bid payments are collected after the auction is closed.
When Is It Happening?
All bidding sheets will be on display at the club until the WRC Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 15th. Bidding is open effective immediately. Final bidding will take place at the Awards Banquet and will close at the end of the evening. The winning bidders will be announced at that time.
