The sun was shining and temperatures hit 25 degrees on Saturday, September 27 for Winnipeg Rowing Club’s fall regatta Head of the Red. Taking place on the Red River, crews raced 5 km from the St. Vital bridge back to the Winnipeg Rowing Club’s Riley Boathouse. This year’s event welcomed crews from Thunder Bay, Kenora, Pinawa, Regina and Saskatoon rowing clubs. After the head races finished junior athletes competed in an unique Skills Rodeo to show off many tricks in single sculls.
