Rowers Complete Marathon on the Red

On a beautiful fall day a fleet of boats and Winnipeg rowers completed a marathon row.  Starting near the south perimeter at King’s Park the group launched and headed north on the Red and traveled throughout the entire city of Winnipeg. The group stopped at the Winnipeg Rowing Club for a mid-way break and a few crew changes, then completed the 40 km journey to the north perimeter.

Thanks to WRC’s Master program coach Sandi Kirby for organizing the event, and Head Coach Steve Taylor and Club Coach Nia Perron for accompanying the group to ensure safe travels.
