WRC’s Paul Thiessen, rowing for the Canadian, raced his way to three silver medals this past weekend at the Pan American Olympic Festival Regatta in Mexico. The regatta started for Thiessen in the Men’s 2x with partner Andrew Stewart-Jones where the duo had a strong race to place second behind a formidable Cuban crew, which includes Angel Fournier Rodriqguez who will be a serious contender in the men’s single scull at the upcoming World Rowing Championships.
Thiessen was then part of the Men’s 4x crew and Men’s 8+ crew that also won silver medals, finishing just behind Cuba in both races. Thiessen currently lives and trains in Victoria, BC with the Canadian National Rowing Team.
