Winnipeg rowers Tracy Taylor, Jesse Reitberger and Fiona Rettie were honoured at the Lieutenant Governor’s residence with a Royal Lifesaving Society of Canada Manitoba Branch ceremony with a Rescue Commendation Award. The Royal Lifesaving Society recognizes and honours those who act with bravery in water-related incidents. The three Winnipeg Rowing Club members were instrumental in saving the life of a young women who jumped off the Norwood Bridge into the frigid Red River last November. Congratulations Tracy, Fiona and Jesse on this well deserved award.
