Over thirty athletes competed in the first Winnipeg Indoor Rowing Championships on Sunday, February 5 at the Winnipeg Rowing Club. There was some exciting racing in 2000 meter, 500 meter and relay events. Congratulations to Vanessa Brown with the overall fastest women’s time of 7:40.1 over 2000 meter, and Josh Bourassa in the men’s division who pulled a 1:39.7 split for a time of 6:38.9.
WRC 2012 Indoor Erg Championship Results
Congratulations to WRC alumni Anthony Linton and Claudia Blandford for placing 1st and 2nd respectively at Indoor Rowing competitions in Victoria and Toronto. Anthony won the U23 Men in 6:17.9 and Claudia placed 2nd in the Senior Women in a time of 7:13.2.
