Rowing Canada Aviron has announced its lineup for the Samsung World Rowing Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland, from July 8 to 10, 2011, which includes five Winnipegers. Janine Hanson, Kevin Kowalyk, Emily Cameron, and Morgan Jarvis will race in various boats, while Jeff Powell is coaching the Women’s team. This is the third World Cup of the season, but the first for Canadians and one of the most important tests for all international crews in advance of this year’s Olympic qualifier – the World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia in late August.
