Now that the Red River is finally starting to recede in Winnipeg, it’s time to get on the water and become part of one of Canada’s most successful Olympic sports! Members of the public are invited to visit the Winnipeg Rowing Club (WRC) this coming weekend, during the annual open house:

Rowing is a lifelong sport for fitness, for competition, or just for fun, and the WRC offers rowing programs for all ages and skill levels. Whether you are interested in a recreational pursuit, or exploring the potential of a competitive sport, you are invited to come to the open house to find out more about rowing. It’s a chance to tour the facilities, learn about indoor training, check out the boats and boathouse, watch rowers in action, and even try out some ‘dockside’ rowing.
