At the annual RCA conference, WRC rower Claudia Blandford was named RCA’s Female Sculler of the Year under the Club Level Awards. 2010 was another succesful year for Blandford, who picked up the gold in the U23 Women’s Single at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta for the third year in a row.
RCA also handed out International Achievement Awards to two other Winnipeg natives. Janine Hanson was recognized for a silver medal in the Women’s 8+ and Meghan Montgomery for a gold medal in the Adaptive 4+, both at the 2010 World Championships.
