WRC Picks up Four Medals at Western Canada Sprints

WRC crews won four medals this weekend at the annual Western Canada Sprints in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The lightweight women’s crews picked up multiple medals.  Nicole Nakatsu and Brandi Smith won the Lightweight Women’s Double, and then teamed up with Nia Perron and Crystal Evans to win the Lightweight Women’s Quad.  Vic Bartel, who crossed the finish line in a close second to WRC’s Dave Cooke, won the Masters Men’s Single with an age adjusted time.  In her first regatta, Kaitlin Rempel dominated the Novice Women’s Single winning with open water.

WRC crews had a number of second and third places finishes, including many Masters crews who crossed the finish line first but placed second or third with age adjusted times.  Well done everyone!
