Welcome to the online home of the Winnipeg Rowing Club. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about how you can get involved in the sport of rowing!
Rowing has a long and proud tradition in Winnipeg. Since 1881, athletes have been learning to row on the waters of the mighty Red River. Today, the Winnipeg Rowing Club is the “big blue boathouse” located at 20 Lyndale Drive, where we offer programs to all ages and skill levels.
Whether you want to learn to row, join a recreational rower, or pursue competitively, you’ve come to the right place. Our fleet of shells and experienced coaches will help you find your glide, so you can enter the sport at your own pace – and stay with it at whatever level you choose.
2021 Program Info
WRC is pleased to offer the community a bevy of rowing options for the 2021 On-Water Season. For the novice/beginner athlete, the club is now offering Learn-to-Row sessions which can be scheduled with a club coach. For younger athletes, we’ll be offering a Spring Youth Rowing League with two weekly sessions, starting the week of the May long weekend. For more experienced rowers, WRC is offering two coached membership options; one for the Junior Competitive athletes, and another for Recreational Rowers.
